No Party Lines!
For the past several weeks we have been able to hear other people’s conversations on our phone line. Last week we found out that they could hear us just as clearly as we could hear them. They live on the next street over and some how the lines just got crossed. My mom was telling me that there used to be what were called “party lines” where many families shared one phone line. If you picked up the phone and they were using it, you had to hang up and try again later. I think this would have driven me crazy! What if you had to share your line with someone who constantly jabbered all day? Luckily those days are over and we don’t have to worry about that. The phone guy came over this morning and said that we shouldn’t have any more trouble out of it. YEA!
