Removal

Since I first started this blog I have tried to be very mindful about copyright laws. No, I have never read up on the laws, but I always attach an author’s name to the work if I know it. Whether it is a song, poem, etc. everyone deserves credit for their work. With that said, I have gone back through this blog which I started in February 2003 and I have removed ten “cartoon” pictures. I wasn’t asked to remove them. I’m honestly just afraid of getting in trouble for having them on here. They were pictures from a day-by-day calendar that I bought last year. But, get this: When I pulled off the last sheet (on the 31st) it said that no part could be reprinted without written permission. Hmmm, shouldn’t they have put that at the beginning of the calendar? Oh well, I read that and got worried; maybe needlessly so, but it’s my butt on the line here. So, to make a long story short (too late!) if you look through the archives and the pictures don’t appear, you’ll know why :)

Do you ever wonder where expressions come from?
"...my butt on the line" is the one that has me intrigued at the moment. Back to that hutch again...LOL
