A Daughter's A Daughter
I just finished reading A Daughter's a Daughter by Mary Westmacott (Agatha Christie). It was wonderful to say the least. I adore her murder mysteries, but I’m really passionate about her normal, everyday writings. This story is about a daughter who disapproves of the man her mother wants to remarry and what effects it has on their relationship.
There was a saying that I love in the book that many of you have probably heard, but I had not: “A son’s a son till he gets him a wife. But a daughter’s a daughter all your life.” I think that statement holds much truth in it.
