Schuller And Pierce
I love the Hour of Power with Dr. Robert Schuller. I’ve gotten to the point that I can’t wait to turn it on the TV on Sunday mornings. We get up at 9:30, so by the time I tune in it’s time for the sermon. I never get to see the special singing or guests, but I think I will set the alarm for 9:00 this coming Sunday so that I can watch it all. I’m almost positive that they said James Caviezel would be there. He’s the one who plays the part of Jesus in Mel Gibson’s new movie The Passion of the Christ. It should be very interesting to say the least. You can go to this Map to see if The Hour of Power is shown in your area. From what I can see, it is a commonly known program known far and wide. They even show in the Middle East! Lynne, let me know if you’ve ever seen this program and what you think :)
This isn’t a new show for me, just one that I have recently reconnected with since we’ve been going to church on Sunday morning. I think I first started watching Dr. Schuller when I was about thirteen. He has written many books that I’m sure are wonderful too. I’ll have to look for some of those.
Let me tell you about another wonderful person. This one my mother found for me. Her name is Chonda Pierce and she is a Christian comedian. You can get her videos online at her site and on ebay. I’ve seen two of her videos so far and my favorite was called Chonda Pierce: Four-Eyed Blonde. She has a way of being funny, and moving at the same time. You have to be sure to watch after the credits roll though because as far as I have seen there is always a little extra at the very end. These are movies that can be bought and shared with friends. They are very entertaining.

I've been on the map Tami, but Saudi is not mentioned; however, I will investigate further.
I may have more luck in Cyprus this Easter when I go to our home for 2 weeks.
The Passion of the Christ is on my list for sure.
Keep us all posted about..... the "visitors"!

I watched Robert Schuller when I was a teen, too. My life was so chaotic, and his messages and his delivery both calmed and encouraged me. It's been ages since I've watched any sermons on TV.
