Home Free

This past Sunday, I taped Trading Spaces: Home Free. Even if you’re not a fan of the regular Trading Spaces show, you should try watching this one to see what you think.

In Home Free they are doing what I always wanted them to do which was let the homeowners decide what the design will be, pick the colors, accessories, etc. We finally got to watch what I had taped and it is very good! There are eight couples competing against each other. They have the help of a designer and can ask them questions, get them to do work, etc. At the end of each episode on Sunday night, the viewers get to vote for their favorite couple/room. At the end, whichever couple wins, gets their mortgage paid off! Wow! Wouldn’t that be nice?! Unfortunately, we didn’t get to vote since we waited to watch the tape, but I plan on watching this week and voting. It’s a free call which makes it even easier!

We watch that, too! Great fun seeing the homeowners' visions. Hilde actually has constraints - gotta love THAT. We enter online and breathe a prayer that we'll be picked. I think we'll cancel each others' prayers out, Tami! ;)

This is terrific; I want to be one of those couples. I have never seen it but it sounds like my sort of programme.

We'd love to be on it, too, but we have two strikes against us:

1. We have no rooms at least 14x14'
2. None of our friends live on our block or within a 2 minute walk

Those are their two initial criteria. Pthbt! Wish we could be on "Trading Closets"!

Did you see that the sweepstakes winner can choose between having their mortgage paid off (up to $350K!) or a cash-out of $350K?

No brainer for us...We only have about $75K left on ours. I'll take the cash, Paige!
