The Sound Of Silence
Today was the first day of spring and there seems to be a vast difference in the look of the land already. Our weeping willow tree is budding fast and the grass is turning green again. It is all very exciting. You can actually hear the birds singing. In the winter we get so used to the peace that when we do hear the birds, it seems an oddity. I would swear that some are already pregnant because they are so big.
Another oddity that you forget about during the winter is thunder. We had a very hard rain this afternoon and some thunder along with it. Like the birds, it’s just not something that you hear during the winter months. I wonder what other noises I’ve forgotten about. Hmmm.
