Criminal Record?!
This is an interesting news story for you dog lovers: Woman gets criminal record for petting dog
Actually, I can see both sides of this. If a stranger were in my back yard giving my dog water (if I had a dog), I’m sure I would get pretty miffed. How do I know that it’s ONLY water and that person isn’t up to something or isn’t crazy?
Then again, I don’t think I would have called the police, but you never know. I guess it all depends on how riled up things got.

Well, gosh. "If Miss Sherman was so concerned about my dog, it would have been easy to come to my front door and speak to me directly," he said.
That kind of sums it up to me. I've pet peoples' dogs before, but I've never trespassed to do it. I, too, would be pretty upset if someone were in my yard giving my dog anything without my permission.
She sounds like a PETA wannabee (now I'm ducking and running)
