Sneak Peek
Spring break started today. For those of you who don’t know, this is where your kids “get out of school free” for a week. YEA! Kevin and I started on the kitchen this afternoon. I took pictures on the regular camera and on the digital camera, but wouldn’t you just know it; our digital camera died. I don’t think it’s going to take any more pictures. Luckily I got a few before that happened. I guess when I get my regular roll developed, I’ll also get the pictures put on a CD and that way I can share the whole process with you :) We have much more to do, but this is what it looked like around 2:00 this afternoon.

I'll have to make sure that I get my film developed fast so that you can see it. I started painting the red/orange color on the walls. I think it's going to look really neat. Thanks for the encouragement :)

Oh, yes, red hot chilli colours! Any paint effects, crackle, scumble, rag rolling...?

We did do a faux finish in two rooms of the house, but for the kitchen I thought it would be better plain. We are going to sponge different colors on the back splash (the part under the cabinets) to mimic colored tiles. That should be interesting.

Neat! I think I'd like to do a Venetian plaster type thing in our kitchen, and make the walls look old. I think that, instead of painting our metal cabinets glossy white like they originally were, I might do them in a more muted tone and somehow antique them. I keep planning so much (with little know-how to actually DO it), I never actually DO them.
P.S. Comments are forgetting me again, and the HTML's off again.
