So Good It Makes You Cry
A few weeks ago we joined Columbia House DVD Club. One of the seven DVD’s we ordered was Imitation of Life. I had seen it several times before, but I wanted Ashley to see it. As I knew she would, she really enjoyed it. As she was crying at the end of the movie, Kevin told her, “That’s what they call a tear-jerker.” Now she knows.
There are several other “tear-jerkers” that I would like to introduce her to; one of them being Beaches. That movie never fails to make me cry.
We have bought and watched Savannah Smiles. Talk about crying! That one makes my chest heave! What movies make you cry? Do you have any recommendations?

Tami,
Beaches & Savannah smiles both make me cry. I don't care how many times I have seen each one of them, I cry. Savannah Smiles is probably one of my favorite movies. The first time I saw it, we all watched it as a family. Everyone of us cried, even Dad. I really can't think of any other movies that make me cry. I know there are some out there, I just can't think of them.

That is so neat that you have seen Savannah Smiles! I thought it was so old that no one would remember it but me. I can imagine your dad getting all mushy over it :)
Kevin says that "The Champ" is another tear-jerker, but I have never seen that one.

Funny thing about "Beaches"...I was at a friend's home watching that one new year's day years ago when the power went out. The tape was stuck in the VCR and we never did see the whole thing (her husband had to disassemble the VCR to get the tape out and get it back on time).

In that case, GW, you really do need to rent it and watch the entire thing. It is sooooo good!
