Almost Over

As of this coming Monday, there are only twenty-five days left in this school year. I am totally psyched and ready for it to be over! Twenty-five days means only five more spelling tests and twenty more days of math homework. It’s not as if the homework is hard or bad, it’s just something extra that you have to worry about. During the summer your brain can be put on hold while you swim and laze around all day.

This summer offers an extra bonus as Kevin will have the entire summer off. Yes, that means he will be off a full two months. He has signed up for a summer class at a local college, but it only lasts until the second week in June. You just can’t ask for much more than that! Hopefully the weather will comply. Last year the pool was hardly used because it just didn’t get hot enough and stay hot. I really don’t think we should pay $400 for a heat pump. I want it to heat up naturally. I guess we shall see.

I don't finish until the beginning of July!

Wow! That's a LONG time! When did the school year start for you? It started in August for us with one week off in October and another off in March.

Whoops, forgot to mention that we don't go back until September 6th...
How about a few photographs of the first family member to brave the pool?

I can manage that, but don't expect anything until the end of May or early June. It takes a while for it to warm up :)

I don't finish till the SECOND HALF of July.... 'scuse me I need to find the tissues whilst I howl in anguish.

"Howl in anguish" -- LOL! Oh, you poor, wretched thing!

Your hubby gets all that time off with you? That's great. Howie and I spent three days working in our yard together this weekend thanks to his taking Thursday and Friday as vacation days.

What a sense of satisfaction. It's the first time in a while that we've been to bed early and slept really well -- the first time we've been tired due to physical labor and not over indulgence and boredom!
