Andrew's Heart
Andrew wrote this poem for school right before Easter and I thought that I would share it. He is a very gifted writer when he puts his heart into it.
The Last Supper
He sits without question, starring into space,
Thinking about the things to come: the whip and the mace.
The blood that would be shed,
The crown of thorns upon His head.
He lays and waits for the nail,
I felt the ting and heard the yell.
All of this has crossed His mind,
As he told his disciples of the wine.
This is my blood, I say to you,
Now drink and pray for your sins too.
After this He explained to them,
His body was the bread for their sins.
They take and eat a single piece,
And then our Savior begins to weep.
He brings the water and washes their feet,
So they would be pure for those they would meet.
Then He tells them of what is to come,
And tells them how God will give His son.
A traitor sits with them this day.
Judas Iscariot, who would betray.
His last meal is almost done.
The light shins from the rising sun.
It soon would start; the King would fall.
The Son of man would die for all.
