Movies Two Days In A Row!

Surprise! Surprise! I woke up this morning at 8:30, got everyone else up and we went to see Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The first showing was at 10:00, but it was sold out. So, we bought tickets for the 10:30 showing and were one of the first ones in the theatre which meant choice seats ;) We also got two free miniature LEGO Knight Buses upon showing our tickets. That link shows the full sized version, but I think the miniature one is cute.

It was a very good movie and worth the $25 we paid to see it in the theatre. I couldn’t have waited to see this on video. The only thing is if you have read the books, you will realize everything that was left out. In the first two movies they left things out, but it wasn’t that much. I believe in this movie they left out quite a bit. Not to worry, it is still great and I enjoyed it immensely. Plus I am super shocked that we actually saw a movie on opening day. That doesn’t happen often!

Well done you! I am not sure about seeing the movies - I love to imagine the scenes myself - without anyone else's ideas!!

Liz, that's why I like reading the books first.

The scenery in this movie is breathtaking! But, you live in England so I guess you know that :)

I must read the book first (unless I find out after-the-fact that there was a book). It brings a whole new dimension to a movie when you have read the story first; though the directors and screenwriters may omit parts, you remember them and also know the character's thoughts and motives more fully.
