Her Left Ear
Ever since Ashley got tubes put in her ears last year, I have checked them about every other week to see if they were still in place. Looking closely with a flashlight, they are tiny and white, but right where you can see them. I had just looked in both ears Tuesday night and they were both still there. One was closer to coming out than the other, but both were in place.
Last night Ashley started complaining that her ear was bothering her. I looked once again for the tubes. The tube was gone from the ear that was hurting and it had been draining. It kills me! The tube isn’t gone for one day and she already has an ear infection?! Unbelievable!
We took her to the doctor today and she confirmed exactly what I had said. She also said that we would have to keep an eye on her ears and see how many ear infections she has in the next few months. If there are a lot, that means she will have to get the tube replaced. In the mean time, she is on an antibiotic and ear drops.

God love her! Ear infections are the pits. Sometimes you feel like someone's kicking your eardrum from inside your skull. Tell Ashley I empathize, and I'm praying for her.
