Going, Going, Gone!
I was thinking about back when I was still in school. If we were dating someone we would say that we were “going with” them. When someone wanted to date you they would ask, “Will you go with me?”
I use the term “dating” now. Andrew is dating his girlfriend. He has been dating her for three years. It would seem totally funny to say that Andrew is going with Christina. He has been going with her for three years.
My dad used to say, “Where the heck are you going?” Now that I’m an adult I ask myself that very same question: Where were we going?

Isn't the expression, 'you don't wanna go there!' apt?

LOL, this sure brings back memories. We'd say "they're going together". Same difference. Talk about ambiguity. Then again, isn't that what puppy love is so much of the time?

Don't you find that your children are much clearer about where they are going than we were at their age? I am continually amazed at their foresight and looking back at myself at that age, there was very little of it in my make-up. They tell me there still is very little too!!
