Fly Boys
Last night I finished reading Lord of the Flies by William Golding. In case you have never read it, it is about a group of adolescent boys from various schools that have been left stranded on an island. There are no grownups, so they are left to their own devices.
The book takes you through what it is like getting everyone together to get things done. Getting water, building huts, getting a fire going and keeping it going are all a part of their lives now. It quickly becomes apparent who the workers are versus the slackers. It is also quickly made clear who the dominating personalities are.
Things are going great for a little while until one of those strong personalities decides that things need to be done his way and no one else’s. At this point disturbing events occur; events that a normal person would find abhorrent in a normal world. On the island however things are anything but normal and they are very, very disquieting.
This was a good read.

Gone off vampires Tami? :)
Interesting number system now but what if a new reader wishes to make a comment? How does it work? Is it something Kevin has set up for you?

Anyone can still leave comments. You get a random number whenever you leave a comment. Most spams are done by bots (computers) not people. The bots have no way of looking at the number and typing it in. This equals no spam for me ;)
Anne Rice hasn't written any new vampire books, so I am spreading my wings and reading lots of new things.
