A Tobacco Worm
I found this neon green tobacco worm while taking Guido for his walk yesterday. Ashley insists on keeping him in her room in a shoe box filled with grass. I have no idea how long he will survive like this. He has tiny, black tentacles all up under his body. When I picked him up he immediately latched on, but it in no way hurt. Actually, it felt kind of cool.
Yesterday I noticed that my kitchen remodel photo gallery was out of order and was no fun to look at that way. Kevin has since rectified the problem, so if you want, take a look of things in the order they really happened. The gallery is over on the right side of this page.

Put him in a large jar with a stick and a small bit of grass and he will ,in just a short time start a cocoon.

Do you have a jar I could use?

He needs to have his host plant in there with him. If you can find some tomato vines and leaves, that'll do him well.

How about barbecuing him with salsa sauce?

Well, Miss L, we did say that he looks like something that they would eat on Fear Factor and that juice would squirt from your mouth!

Lots of lovely protein in there - but actualy he looks enormous!! Not something I would want to find in my garden, what does he grow into?

Miss L: he has made his cocoon and we cannot even see him any longer! He will come out as a moth - a very large moth. I will post a picture tomorrow so that you can see it.
