Tobacco Worm Update
We weren't quick enough getting the tomato leaves so the tobacco worm started his cocoon. This is what he looks like today:
We didn't have a big enough jar, so we just kept him in a shoe box. I really hope that he survives. I would hate to think that we killed something so neat. He will end up being a large moth.
THIS site has some great pictures of both caterpillar and moth.
HERE is a larger picture of the moth. It looks to be quite chunky!
THIS is probably the best site because it shows all three stages that this bug goes through.
I wonder how soon it will be before we are proud parents of a moth?!

Remember to free it at night otherwise it dive-bombs into the ground (I know to my cost!)

Don't let him come here, for I grow host plants for the parasitic wasps that lay eggs on his kind, LOL!
