A Drama
Kevin and I sat down yesterday to watch Cold Mountain. For 2 ½ hours this movie kept us captivated. It was wonderful to say the least. Nicole Kidman and Jude Law were fantastic! There were times during the movie when Renee Zellweger had me laughing out loud. At other times I was very near tears. This is a drama that you just have to see. I don’t recall cursing, however there was nudity.
I have to mention the character of Sally Swanger played by Kathy Baker. It bothered me through half of the movie that I recognized her voice and face and I just couldn’t place her. I finally figured it out! She’s the one who played the part of Joyce Monroe in the movie Edward Scissorhands! She was the red head who tried to seduce Edward. I had a hard time believing this was the same woman, but she did an excellent job.
If you have seen this, let me know what you thought and leave me a comment. My mind keeps going back to the many, many events that took place. This was a hefty drama, but so, so fantastic!

Still havent seen it, but have heard alot about the soundtrack, particularly regarding a group of sacred harp singers from a church here in our state. Blessings, rob

I own the book, but have not seen the movie yet. It's another must-see!
