He's Cooking!

It’s so nice living with a great cook! Kevin made the cheese ball today that we’ll be eating on Friday. He also made a new recipe: pumpkin bars. After cutting them, I got a small sample and let me tell you – they are to die for! On Friday I will try to remember to take a few pictures. Last night he made his chocolate peanut butter pie for us. Andrew, Ashley, and I love it! It will be gone before Friday is here for sure!

We are all getting excited! We’ve been watching the Christmas movies too! So far (not including cartoons) we’ve watched National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Homecoming, and Home for the Holidays. The later is actually a Thanksgiving movie, but it’s still entertaining. The Homecoming was the first Walton’s movie made. The dad, mother, and grandfather were different in this version. I’m so glad that they changed these people when they made the TV show. I can’t imagine liking it near as much without Ralph Waite, Michael Learned, and Will Geer. As far as National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation goes: if you haven’t seen this then you must be living in a cave! This is by far the funniest Christmas movie there is. If you haven’t seen it, you need to rent it TODAY!

The Homecoming is one of Howie's favorites. We crack up when Olivia says the word "love" at the dinner table...Lllllllllovvvvve. Oh, silliness.

One of my favorites is "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye.
