Floor Space

After church today we put the Christmas tree and decorations in the attic for another year. By decorating the day after Thanksgiving, we get plenty of time to appreciate it all. Also, we have a small house and we need every little bit of available space. We weren’t able to get the lights from outside because they are all under ice. It’s supposed to warm up later this week so we will tend to them then.

After dinner we went to Wal-Mart. They had all of their Christmas stuff marked 50% off the regular price. I bought four rolls of wrapping paper and a set of gift boxes. I didn’t NEED anything, but felt compelled to buy since it was half off. I once heard someone say, “You can go broke saving money.” Nothing could be truer than that!

I am anxious to get our tree down. It takes up a good 6x6' area, at least! I'll be glad to have all the tempting cat toys (aka ornaments) away, too. Does Church ignore your tree, or is he a problem with it?

When Church was a kitten we sprayed him enough with the squirt bottle that he just learned to leave it alone. He does enjoy lying underneath it though!
