Spam

About a week ago, GW blogged about silly spam. I found this interesting since I too get so much spam.

After a while of deleting these emails and not clicking on anything in them, I would think that they would get the hint that I am not interested and not send any more – no such luck. I still get at least five pieces of spam per day. Here is what I have ready to be deleted in my inbox right now:

* From: Georg Mendez
Subject: Re:SteelMaan
Content: total gibberish
My Thought: Putting the letters “Re” in the subject doesn’t make me think that I actually wrote to you.

* From: Marquis Parham
Subject: Rachelle Mcnally
Content: more gibberish
My Thought: If you are going to put a person’s name in the subject area – make sure that I at least recognize that name.

* From: Pedro Madison
Subject: Professional Refinances Made Easy
Content: Tells me that I have been pre-approved for a $459,000 home loan
My Thought: This is just way too funny. Unless I win the lottery, I will never be able to afford a home at that price!

* From: Christian Discoveries
Subject: For Christian Singles Only
Content: Talks about an group called MatchWise who only accepts American Christians
My Thought: I am not single and isn’t it prejudice to only accept Americans?

* From: Lucrecia Jordan
Subject: Use Your Talent to Be An Investigator
Content: A “Work from Home” ad
My Thought: What in the world would make them think I wanted to be an investigator? Is it because I’m nosey sometimes?

* From: Kristja Hough
Subject: Do You Need It?
Content: Some sentences are gibberish while others look like passages from a book
My Thought: I don’t know if I need it if I don’t know what it is.

* From: Son Harvey
Subject: Your Friends Will Envy You
Content: Talks about someone who went from 2 inches to 6 inches
My Thought: You are emailing a girl dimwit!

* From: Olivia Napier
Subject: No Selling! No Boss!
Content: Make $1500 to $3500 per day for returning phone calls
My Thought: This must involve something illegal.

Unbelievably, I had more – five more to be exact. As long as I get them, I’ll continue to use the delete option. That’s the best option I have!

The funny bogus sender's names are what always tickled me, but they have gone by the wayside lately. Joanie's blog at http://dagoddess.com had some lists of funny names!
