No Mixed Feelings Here

I reviewed the movie Super Size Me about a month ago. I said it then and I’ll say it again; it is not the fast food industry’s fault what we choose to put into our mouths.

There are people that are now going on all McDonald’s diets and losing weight. This is because they are making the right choices. THIS ARTICLE is terrific. Read it!

FYI: My blog roll on the sidebar has been lost for the time being! Sorry for the inconvenience!

Haven't seen Supersize Me but surely the key to keeping the weight down is all about eating healthily, isn't it?
In my twenties I used to live off a 1oz pkt of crisps a day, endless cups of coffee and 40 Marlborough Lites. Sure I was 125lbs but even I knew it wasn't great for me.
I see the weight loss at McD's the same; all the fat, sugar and salt that's present in their foodstuffs can't possibly be good on a regular basis so I maintain that McD's is a treat; somewhere to go with the kids once a month or so.
However, I grasp the point as being McD's isn't responsible for weight gain and I do hold true with that. They were once considering putting skinny doors at their entrances then us fatties can't waddle through. Madness.

That the people lost weight while eating McD's is not really surprising, because they made better food choices than Spurlock did. People lose weight doing Atkins and all sorts of other diet plans, but it doesn't mean that the diet is well-rounded and healthy in the long term. Interesting article, though. "Fast Food Nation" is an interesting book dealing with the globalization of fast food and the business practices of mega-farms and such - also a very interesting read.

Urban, can you just see it? If they put skinny doors in, they'd have lawsuits out the wazoo from fat acceptance lobbyists saying they were discriminated against.

You are looking at BB6 all wrong. The concept of "The Friendship" needs breaking up. Ganging up on a group, forming a mass alliance, is horrid TV. The root of the game is evil, and evil will prevail until the end. Perfect gmae is Howie and James. This Saturday we lose Jennifer. The HOH goes to James again, its a strength or stamina game, and Howie puts up Ivette and Maggie. We lose Ivette next Thursday and HOH becomes Rachel. Rachel puts up Maggie and April. We lose April and James wins again. He puts up Maggie and Beau and we lose Maggie. Janelle then wins HOH and puts up Rachel and Beau and we lose Beau because of the votes and the house thinking James cant win. From there, its a toss up. HOH comp is planned to look competitive, but the producers know what will be the outcome unless the players really mess up.

Where is that BB6 comment coming from? I have not even seen anyone talking about BB6 on here.
