Harvest Day
Today was a fun day. We dipped apples in chocolate then drizzled them with caramel. They were topped with nuts, raisins, sprinkles, candy corn, gummy candy, and crushed Oreo cookies.
We popped popcorn and then made these spooky hands.
These ghost suckers were fun and easy to make:
Earlier in the week, we carved a pumpkin and kept the seeds. After washing the seeds off and then allowing them to dry for several days, we were able to cook them. My friend’s recipe is different from my own. She uses butter and salt – that’s it. They were wonderful!

Oh. My. Gosh. Those apples look so good! Love the popcorn hands, too.
Have you ever made an ice hand for a punchbowl? You fill a rubber glove with water and freeze it, then dip the glove in hot water for just a few seconds so you can slide the glove off the hand. Float it in your punchbowl. You can also make a mold out of a mask if you tape over the eye and nose holes, and have a face floating in your punch. ;)

I love the ice hand idea - there are all sorts of things that could be formed in this way!

GW: I saw Martha Stewart do that on her Halloween special one year. It looked awesome!
