My Version of Fun

I have accomplished my goal during these two weeks off. I have completed one book each week.

The first week I read Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt written by Anne Rice. Last night, I finished The Regime: Evil Advances written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.

I feel as if I am just being wound up! I want to read more, but there are only four more days until I have to return to work and there are other things to do. The kids want to play some games with the whole family and I got a cool puzzle that looks challenging.

Most people would be bored at my house, but I love it. This is one of our versions of fun:

If you look closely, you can see Ashley reading in the background. Then there is Kevin reading, and lastly you see my book. I love quiet times like these.

Oh, poor you only a few days left. Sorry my greetings are belated but have a really fabulous new year. Love to Aunty Patt.

Oh, she is a beast, her term starts ten days after ours Tami! This looks like bliss, I was the only one who loved reading, so I used to hide in my bedroom to read!

I see Guido, too! What's he reading?

Lynne, it is nice to hear from you!

Liz, I have had to read in the bathroom with the door locked ;)

Lori-Lyn, Guido sleeps all the time! You would think he never got any rest, but even after sleeping all night, he still wants to lie in bed in the mornings.

Lori-Lyn, I remember those times in the bathroom, with about ten minutes conversation about why I wouldn't let my son into the room, then guiltily reading whilst listening to him chuntering on to himself outside the door! People wonder why I take baths at odd times in teh day, the answer is 'Because I can!' and that is 20 years on!

So, how did you like the Anne Rice book? I remember your saying you wanted to read it. Should I bother with it? I have some books I'm bringing to Maryland with me, but if I run out, I might have to borrow a library card and seek out some more.
