Cloud Nine

Thanks to my Aunt Becky and Uncle Ray, Guido now has tons of stuffed toys! He had never experienced the joy of sinking his teeth into a stuffed animal.

Now he is on cloud nine!

Friday is here and I am so ready for the weekend. I am very tired though. Working all week with three and four year olds tends to do that to a person.

Each Friday we visit the first grade class so the older kids can read a book to our kids. They love it! While I was there today, I saw some cool Valentine boxes:

This one is a castle:

I have more pictures, but I will save them for another time. Right now, I think I need a nap!

Valentine's was always painful to me. Aside from the valentines the teachers made the kids pass out, I didn't get them. I was lucky to have a kid's name scrawled on the bottom -- never a note. Baaaad memories from gradeschool, yes. Can you tell I was not popular back then? It's a wonder I am generally well-liked now, I think. Maybe it's because I remember how rotten things used to be and try not to do that to other people.

Oh, by the way - our dogs assume any stuffed animal is a toy for them. When my friend's daughter brought her activity bag in from the car, Emma sauntered over and nabbed the stuffed cat from the bag! We all laughed about that -- just glad she didn't tear it apart before we got it back from her. LOL

That's actually why we had never bought him any. Ashley has a few stuffed things and we didn't want to confuse him. She is very good at keeping them in her room though, so it's not a problem like we thought it might be.
