Homes By Martha

I read with much interest the story in TV Guide written by Rebecca Paley about a neighborhood of homes bearing Martha Stewart’s name. Apparently, Martha is now designing homes from the outside right down to the fixtures.

The homes, which were available in North Carolina, had twenty different floor patterns to choose from and ranged in price from $220,000 to $550,000. They are already planning to erect more Martha homes around the U.S.

This is a great concept and one that I would never have thought of. Imagine the celebrities who could work with designers and put their stamp on a home. People would be buying these like crazy!

There are many possibilities. J.K.Rowling could design a Harry Potter house. George Lucas could do Star Wars. In fact, I remember years ago someone built a Simpsons inspired HOME and a couple right here in Kentucky won it!

I think Martha has come up with another terrific idea!

I'd forgotten about that Simpson's home! Martha's definitely market savvy, I'll give her that. I'm not much for her delivery, but I like what she creates.
