No Way!
Ashley pains me sometimes. She used to be such a girly-girl, and she still is, but there is one exception: her hair.
I am not allowed to put it in any style, using any pretty things.
I have a whole drawer full of these:

But, if I even suggest using them she gets herself in a tizzy.
Just this morning I suggested using something pretty in her hair and she very adamantly told me no. I put it in a plain old ponytail and that was it.
It was a big deal that she even let me do her hair this morning without a fuss. Four days out of the week, she goes to school looking like this little girl:

from The Ring.
I know her teachers think why doesn’t her mom do something with her hair? Believe me, if I had my way, she would be dolled up every day.
I don’t know what happened.

My girls don't mind if I put pretty things in their hair, my problem is just getting them to sit still long enough to brush it. They HATE having their hair brushed, and they especially hate to have to wash it.
Girls can be a pain in the butt sometimes.

I have had long hair my entire life and i can tell you I didn't want my mom to touch my hair growing up cause she always pulled it and hurt me. I didn't want it brushed or washed for the same reason it got snag very easily. I was a pony tail every day kind of girl. and as soon as I could do it my self I stopped letting my mom ever touch it.
