Movies: Take 4

September movies:

9-1-06 The Pink Panther
I never knew The Pink Panther was a diamond! Don’t worry, I’m not spoiling anything; you find this out in the very beginning. This is a cute, silly movie.

9-3-06 Shrek
Yes, I have seen Shrek before, but I watched it again, so I documented it. We watched it on our way to Kings Island in the tour bus. I love this movie. I don’t care how old you are, you will think it’s hilarious.

9-3-06 RV
We watched this on the return trip from Kings Island later on that night. It was a very funny, family movie.

9-6-06 The Grudge
I was fine. Really, I was. That was until the last 15 minutes or so of this movie. Once I saw something, (I won’t say what) slinking down a staircase – I was gone – scared to death. It was a sight I remembered for days. Truly, it was reminiscent of parts in The Ring.

9-8-06 Dark Water
I don’t know what emotions the makers of this movie intended for me to walk away with in the end. The entire movie was bizarre, which is okay in a movie. I liked this aspect, but by the end, I was just sad. The entire ending saddened me and made me fall deep into my own thoughts.

9-10-06 Con Air
I hadn’t seen this movie for many years, but I remembered that I liked it, so I watched it again with Andrew and Selena. I love watching John Malkovich.

I have to make a comparison right now though about someone in this movie.
Look carefully at this picture of:

Steve Buscemi

Okay, now scroll down on this page to look at a picture from Nickelodeon’s new TV show Mr. Meaty. I would have sent you directly to the Nickelodeon site; however, it takes FOREVER to load. You’ll want to look at the guy on the left:

Josh Redgrove

I’m telling you people, they modeled that puppet after Steve Buscemi. No doubt.

Back to the movies …

9-13-06 From Hell
Our friend, Deanna, loaned this movie to us. I had never heard of it, but enjoyed it quite a bit. It amazes me how many different characters Johnny Depp can convincingly play.

9-15-06 Pretty Woman
Ashley had never seen this movie, so I wanted us to watch it together. Looking back at it now, I guess it’s not the type of movie a mother watches with her ten-year-old daughter. Oh well, I’m definitely not like every mother and Ashley is not your typical ten-year-old.

9-27-06 Gosford Park
This is a murder mystery set at a country house in England. I loved it! What could be better?!

9-30-06 Failure to Launch
I enjoyed this romantic comedy even though it was very predictable. Both Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew McConaughey were great!

Okay, I am all caught up! From now on, I will post the movies I have seen during the previous month, at the beginning of the new month. This way, I won’t be so backed up.
