Baking
Today Kevin and I baked.
We made Chex Mix.
We made Bourbon Balls:

And we made Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Tarts.
This is what they look like before the powdered sugar (they are easier to identify this way):

This is the finished product:

It was fun!

Boy do those look GREAT. We had the most amazing pumpkin crunch cake tonight at our friends'. He makes an icing from whipped cream and powdered sugar, homemade. It just melts in your mouth...Glad the leftovers aren't here, or they would not last the night!

Those pecan tarts look delicious. Can we all come over to your house for a taste? :)

I made my bourbon balls this weekend too. Next weekend i'll work on the buckeyes. It is fun, but takes so long, one batch from start to finsh takes me 3 hours! I guess they are worth it, although after making them I don't want to eat them!

Buckeyes? Can I have a translation please?

I was going to let Deanna respond to this herself, but I think she is busy.
A buckeye is a small ball made from different things, but mainly peanut butter and chocolate. They are very sweet and yummy, Liz!

Buckeyes are heavenly! Its butter, powdered sugar and peanut butter mixed together and formed into a ball, then dipped in chocolate! The first time I tried them I ate so many I got sick. Once I get all my stuff done I’ll send Tami a pic to forward to you. If you want the recipe let me know.
