Surprises
I was surprised for my birthday. I mean REALLY surprised. Kevin put a lot of thought into my cake and gifts. He secretly made the money by going to clients houses and working or fixing their computers without my knowledge.
I was impressed with the planning this must have taken – not to mention all the love that went along with it. I didn’t deserve it. That’s the truth. But I got it anyway because Kevin loves me unconditionally. There are times he loves me when everyone else would say the heck with her. That’s Kevin.
Back to surprises …
Andrew called me on my cell phone while I was in Hallmark in Hamburg. He said I had a box waiting for me at home. I asked who it was from and he replied Lori-Lyn.
You could have knocked me over with a feather! I was excited and wanted to get home soon. I couldn’t imagine what Lori-Lyn had in store for me.
Andrew left the box on the table:

Here is what was inside:

My mouth dropped open when the first thing I saw was the pug purse. See, I had often admired this pug purse in the mall. She also gave me a Valentine’s Day card, a delicious heart sucker (which Guido and I shared), a bottle of Perfect Pear body mist, and a book titled The Sherlock Holmes Novels.
Lori-Lyn knows I like Agatha Christie books, so she knew I would enjoy these detective stories also. I have never read anything by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, so this is a great gift for me.
Thank you, Lori-Lyn!! You truly surprised me when I am not often surprised. I appreciate your generosity. You made me happy and excited and I can hardly wait to carry that purse to church tomorrow. I’m going to show it off to my friends!

Ohhh, rats. Happy belated birthday, Tami! What a great package to receive from a friend. At first glance, I thought -- I kid you not on this -- "How did that get to her just addressed to Tami and her city?" I must need sleep. Yes, I realize now you blanked out the juicy bits from your name and address. LOL
I like Sir. Arthur Conan Doyle's books. I've only read a few, but want to read more.
