Donating Time

On December 8th, Kevin and I rang the bell for The Salvation Army:

This afternoon, dad and I wrapped presents for The American Cancer Society:

Both times I had a lot of fun!

Warning: I think everyone in Winchester is at Wal-Mart right now.

*****

Ashley had her tubes taken out this morning. Everything went well. She does have a hole in her ear where the tube stayed in so long, but the doctor is hopeful this will heal.

Kevin finished the scarf he was knitting for me:

I love it! It’s so warm!

Now, he is working on a sweater for Ashley:

Maybe I need a dog instead of a cat. I love how Guido just sleeps while he's knitting! When i try to crotchet my cats think i'm playing with them and grab at the yarn!

You look amazing by the way!

The scarf is beautiful! Wish I lived closer so that Kevin could teach me to knit.

You make a great point with the first two photos,
and that is we can give of our time as our gift to god and His creation; it is harder to get people to give time than money. A lot of people would rather drop a check in the mail, and in the meantime the organizations are scrambling to get enough warm bodies to do what needs to be done.

Kevin, PLEASE tell me you watch Pushing Daisies. Emerson is a knitting detective. =) You guys would love this show, I bet!

Lovely scarf! I have knitted one each for my daughter and son's partner, not as good as yours though.

Tami, not to be superficial or anything, but you look AMAZING!

I just realized how bad my grammar was, not to mention the formatting. That'll show me not to leave comments using my phone! Yah, and God is definitely supposed to be capitalized. LOL
