The Saga Has Ended
The saga of the tobacco worms has ended. I will bore you with pictures one last time only.
This last moth decided it was time to greet the world at 10:30 PM last night. We took him outside and this is the photo from that:
Although I am as captured with them as always; I understand that tobacco worms are a boring subject for some.
This morning, around 8:00 AM, he had yet to fly away, so I took this photo:
His feather-like antennae still amaze me.
Upon my return at 10:45AM to see if he had flown away, I was surprised and worried when I saw he was still here. I scooted my finger in front of his spider-like legs, and he walked right up:
We had quite a good discussion as he sat upon my finger and refused to fly away right then:
It was only within ten minutes time that he flew away. I hope he finds shelter before the rain comes.
